Welcome to AmyBethInverness.com!  There are two blogs here.  The Inverness Press is all about writing and randomness.  Most of what you’ll find there is G or PG.  Under Loch & Key contains short stories and novel excerpts, some of which are not suitable for children.

Thank you as you just left a comment on my farmerbrains. I love the constructive crit, it really helps me. Totally my bad, I barely proofed it as I barely got it out with a crying baby, (different one) hanging on to my every move. I need to be more careful. What I wanted to convey about gluttony and I guess i should reword it, was I couldn’t expend any energy on punching the wall, as that would be a waste, a luxury I couldn’t afford. I can see how it doesn’t go though. Anyway thanks so much! i really love that you are helping me. :)

    • You’re very welcome! To me, one of the core purposes of TRDC is to exchange concrit. I’ve also been “guilty” of posting something without thoroughly proofing it first! But a blog, unlike a “regular” publication, is designed for “off the cuff” writing and it’s perfectly fine if something gets “out there” before it’s perfect.

I loved the word “gluttony”! I think I recognized the idea of gluttony=indulgence, but I wasn’t sure if it meant something else. Sometimes when I ask about another writer’s words, it turns out that it’s just a colloquial phrase in their part of the country that I’ve never heard.

Keep writing! Even with babies underfoot! Mine is three and almost completely potty trained, but she frequently gets in a “MommyMommyMommy!” mood and I can’t get anything done. :)

  2. Hi! You also left me some good crit:) Easy to overlook little typos when you read it overandoverandover again!! Thank you for stopping by:)

  3. You’re welcome!
Even the best writers can use a different set of eyes to do the proofreading lol!

    Greetings Amybeth:
Michelle sent you a link to NoumeniaCS and I wanted to drop a line and discuss the publishing business. I have a passion for the pragmatic future and I want to help promote, publish and produce authors and specialist work in this niche genre.

I started out this project with Michael Laine chasing our passion but my creativity is limited to a different skill set than print. I would like to discuss the business with you and see if we can develop a mutually beneficial relationship.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care.
