End of February

ROW80LogocopyHmm… methinks this is going to be a boring update. I’m pretty much the same as last week: Yes, meeting my goals thanks to writing more short stories, but not working on novels right now.

I also need to spend some time doing some writerly-housework, such as changing some things on the blog and cleaning out the files on my laptop. But part of me rebels every time I start to do that, because I say “You should be writing!”

Well, gee, time to put on my big girl panties and decide how much time to spend on each and just get it done.

What writing-related tasks (besides actually writing/revising/outlining) do you need to make yourself do?

I need to have a look at some writing competitions coming up, there’s also a writing-related task to do / procrastinate with!

I need to force myself to read more, and my hard drive could use a good cleanup as well. Like I always say, sometimes it isn’t all exclusively about writing.

  3. Even though I keep my files organized, there are so many odd little things that come up and I don’t know where to put them. Just like tangible things in my house. Every now and then I have to go through and clean it all up.

Ack! Now, you’ve made me think of other things I should be doing. I have a tendency to write long hand notes…everywhere. This notebook, that 3×5 card, this scrap of paper I found in my purse.

I always think I’m going to get super organized with my writing (other parts of my life are organized, why not my writing?) but I don’t. Dang. But good for you knowing what you need to do!
